Thanks in advance.

Sorry, we are confused.

Pls. don’t run after to  these guile people!

English language forum:ask questions!

(Please click at comments -right side-for answers your English grammar or mail me:** quazimentor@yahoo.com if you like to get answered privately)

For several years teaching experience in English language  to  Hong Kong and Beijing, I know Bangladeshi pupils (students) have problems asking questions in English too, you can ask your question in Bangla, no problem at all!

I observed during the teaching time (at “Observe” in Concord Tower or else in Farm gate), students even don’t know his/ her English level—-like:

Elementary;
Intermediate;
or Advanced???

You must know your level first that helps your getting bandwidth/cbt score in IELTS or TOEFL–clear?
How can you know this?

Just participate at the CEF (common European frame); all European countries follow leading by England, a free online test, which tells your position.

Don’t be afraid of——just relax!
A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 —-ok?

B2 is 5.5 to 6.5 in IELTS bandwidth score.
C1 is almost Master’s in English Language.
C2 is Master’s in English Language.

With relevance, my position is C1-C2 in IELTS 7.5 -9 (Pls. see at about the author page this web site), and very soon, I am going to participate at another IELTS exam expecting out there 8+.

Fancy a great feel good read perfect for Christmas? Then this one’s for you!

Set in a beautiful old department store that time has long passed by, Ali Harris spins a story that is simply magical and has you turning page after page. (Before I knew it, I’d polished this book off in just one sitting it was that good!)

The story is based around our heroine, Evie, who has lost all of her joie de vivre following the breakdown of her relationship some two years previously and has spent her time in London being as invisible as she possibly can. Evie is so invisible it seems that she can have a hand in turning the fortunes of Hardy’s department store around right under the noses of her colleagues and bosses.

Punctuated with romance, wonderful new friendships, the magic of Christmas and the emergence of a more confident Evie, this…

Wringing your hands about a film adaptation of your favorite book is a little tired, amirite? Listen: we’ve all been there. We’ve all been disappointed in the adaptation of our favorite books. When Faulkner died, did he know his unpublished manuscript Black Sheep would be adapted for the big screen? Probably not—but it was, and David Spade may not have done everything, but he did his best.

We are well aware that films cannot accurately convey what prose can; that the act of reading is a far more personal, participatory, one-on-one experience than the passive act of viewing a film (burn in hell, portable DVD players). We don’t need to talk about this.

OKAY FINE, let’s talk about this.

I was at RAF Kinloss at the time and was invited along with the Team for the lecture Pete was giving in Elgin to the Moray Mountaineering Club. We were expecting a lecture on Everest by the South West Face, however Pete told us the story of the 2 man ascent of Changabangs West Wall and incredible achievement at the time. He called the lecture “Total committment” and it was a wonderful evening and so inspirational. By know Pete was a well-known mountaineer yet he still had time to talk to us after the lecture and I went away with dreams as a young man and a trip to the Himalayas.

Pete and Joe both went missing trying the unclimbed ridge on Everest were last seen on the pinnacles at 8000 metres before the weather came in this was May 1982. It was a typical audacious Alpine ascent of an unclimbed ridge on Everest, with no…

That’s what I thought it said, on a large sign near the station as my train pulled out. As you know, I feel I’ve been on slightly too many trains pulling out of too many stations. And something has very definitely broadened. One can always hope it’s the mind.

Earlier this week I watched in admiration as the four large birds flew in perfect formation over St Andrews. The sky was blue and the birds… were not birds. Considering my proximity to Leuchars, I imagine it was the RAF showing off. But it was sort of impressive, especially since it wasn’t a show or anything, and it was free.

I apologise for bringing this to your attention, but while in St Andrews (not that it matters where I was) I used the Ladies in the Students Union, where I found a new meaning to ‘spending a penny.’ There was a…

In January, Amazon.com, the world’s largest online bookseller, launched its Kindle Singles sales campaign. The mini-eBooks were specifically designed for the company’s popular eReader and apps, and each is comprised of what Amazon describes as “a single killer idea” that runs between 5,000 and 30,000 words, longer than a long magazine article but shorter than a short book.
